When choosing the right photographer for you, what should you look at/for???
Step one: Ask around!
Most of the professional photographers around are able and willing to provide you with clients that would be happy to share their stories and experiences! Look through their social media. Check out their websites. Does their style fit what you are looking for???
Step two: Set up a chat!
Making those connections and making sure you vibe with this person that you’re trusting to document these moments for you is important! How quick are they to respond? Do they sound happy (energetic? excited?)?
Step three: Don’t let price alone dictate your decision.
These are your senior photos. This is only going to happen one time, and you want to make sure you get the best! Find someone that you love their style, and that you believe will deliver the best experience and images. Also, make sure they will be there with you through the entire process! Also look for someone that offers payment plans so that you can budget for those portraits!
Step four: Choose a professional photographer.
You’re only a high school senior once, so why shouldn’t you hire the best? You don’t want someone who is just starting out to capture such a momentous occasion for you… I’m a full-time professional photographer! My goal is to help my clients see for themselves what others already see in them, then to take those images and produce them in beautiful, heirloom products that will be cherished for years to come! You’ll also want to consider if your photographer carries insurance and if they know how to go about getting permits and permissions to shoot in different locations.
Step five: Take your session to the next level.
You want to work with a photographer that is interested in telling your story, and is able to help you work through your vision to bring it to life. Every session we do is customized for the client. We also use amazing hair and makeup artists to help take your look to the next level. We also have accessories, gowns, and more in our style closet that is available to our clients for their photography experience. Your input and creative expression are key!
