Five Sets. Five Women. Zero Apologies.
Every woman who walks through the doors of The Velvet Noir Studio brings something with her. A feeling she’s chasing. A version of herself she’s ready to meet. My job is to put her in the right room — and then watch her take it over completely.
These are five women. Five sets. Five moments that belong entirely to them.
Miss K in The Prelude
She wasn’t sure what to expect. Most of them aren’t. But the minute she settled into that green velvet sofa with the candlelight catching her just right, something shifted. The Prelude does that — it’s soft enough to let you breathe, warm enough to make you forget you were nervous. By the end of her session, she didn’t want to leave. I don’t blame her.

Miss M in The Chamber
Miss M walked into The Chamber and immediately said “this is my room.” She was right. The iron bed, the leopard rug, the velvet so dark it swallows the light — she matched every single inch of it. Some women are made for a certain set. This one was made for this one.

Miss C in The Ritual
There’s a kind of woman who doesn’t need to be coaxed. Miss C walked into The Ritual, looked at the mirrors, looked at me, and said “let’s go.” The dark corner. The fur on the floor. The raw, unfiltered energy of a woman who is completely done shrinking. These images are some of my favorites I’ve ever made. Full stop.

Miss K in The Vanity
The Vanity asks something of you. It says: be the main character. Miss K showed up ready to answer. Black walls, red velvet, a lamp burning low — and her, completely at home in all of it. There’s a confidence that lives in these images that I don’t think she fully knew she had when she arrived. She knows now.

Miss L in The Parlour
Copper and emerald and gold light and Miss L looking like she owns the whole room — because in that moment, she did. The Parlour is lush and editorial and a little bit untouchable, and she leaned into every bit of it. These images look like something out of a magazine. She looks like someone you don’t forget.

Five sets. Five completely different worlds. One studio in the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards where women show up, take up space, and leave with images that prove they were always this woman — she just needed the right room to do it in.
