Why you deserve a luxury boudoir experience
When we get nervous, we make excuses.
We make excuses not to love ourselves or to take care of ourselves. Sometimes, life is just busy, we are too crazy at work, or we are playing taxi. We also use excuses like, “I want to loose 15 pounds first!” or “I just don’t have the money right now.”
I wanted to write this to show you that no matter the excuse, you CAN do it!
You are worthy of self-love!

She’s gorgeous! But you know what??? She has faced a lot of that same self-doubt… here, I’ll let her tell you!
“Initially I did a boudoir shoot at the request of a man, but after my shoot and experience, the images I chose became more about what makes me FEEL sexy/pretty/desirable. I was a little nervous before the shoot, but also excited. I wished I had been disciplined enough to lose a few more pounds, but that ended up not being an issue at all. I hoped I could look/feel natural in front of the camera. During the shoot, being able to peek at a couple of the images helped ease my mind. I settled in. When I got to see the images the first time, I was surprised at the ones I loved most… the ones where I was laughing or the ones where I favored my beautiful mom… those made my heart happy. I am way more comfortable being photographed now and I trust Jo and her process. I share my experience all the time and I tell women that the nerves quickly pass; Jo is a professional and knows how to catch the nuances. I can guarantee that you’ll end up with images you love and will want to have the experience again and again! You’ll be proud of yourself for doing it too and will want to tell everyone about it!”
Excuse 1: “I just don’t have enough time for myself.”
It’s important to remember that if you aren’t taking care of yourself mentally, you’re not going to be able to take care of everyone else. (Easier said than done, right?) Sometimes I’m the worst at making sure I give myself mental health breaks! I make the same excuses as above and sometimes I need someone to look at me and to tell me, “Slow down! Give yourself a minute. Take a deep breath.”
At a boudoir shoot, you are able to breathe. You can love yourself… even if it’s for just a few hours! You will get to see where your beauty really comes from, and this lifts such a huge mental weight.
Excuse 2: “I’m not where I want to be weight wise.”
Did you know that the body type portrayed in advertising as ideal is possessed naturally by only 5% of American females? YEP! Only 5%!
Why do you feel that you have to be a certain size to LOVE yourself? Why do you have to fit others’ ideals to LOVE your own body? Why are you comparing your size to others?
I think it’s amazing to have goals and to be healthy, but you don’t have to hate your body to do those things. You should honor where you are and where you are going… loving yourself every step of the way! Have a boudoir shoot to celebrate where you are now, then have one when you lose those pounds you’ve worked on to celebrate how far you’ve come!
Excuse 3: “I never feel sexy or sensual anymore, so a boudoir shoot must not be for me.”
WRONG!
This excuse is actually the exact reason you SHOULD do a boudoir shoot!
Often times we lose touch with our femininity or sexuality when life gets crazy. It happens! It’s normal and it’s ok! A great way to find this side of ourselves again is to have a boudoir shoot done to put that spark back in us. I can show you that you have that inside of you still!
Another thing to remember is that you don’t have to wear super sexy clothing/lingerie. If you need ideas, I got you! We can talk through ideas and you can play with the items in my client closet to help bring your vision to life!
Excuse 4: “A boudoir shoot is an investment and I don’t have all the money right now.”
Absolutely. A boudoir shoot is an investment… in yourself! You are investing in your well-being and self-confidence! We do offer payment plans that allow you to make it easier on you. When you book your shoot, you’ll pay your retainer, and after that we can set up your payment plan for the remainder.
